Future vision
Designing a new vision for the sportsbook
In this project I designed a brand new concept of what our future sportsbook could be!
The image to the right is a new take on the Live lobby. In this concept I looked into how to improve the existing Live lobby to make it easier to navigate, make it look more modern, promote specific matches and more.
At the top is a quick navigation section with different sports, sorted on the user's previous activity. Under that is a calendar view with Live selected by default but where it's possible to select upcoming days of the week to see future matches as well.
Then we have the promoted section, I called it 'Match of the Day' and as it reads it's supposed to contain a match that the commercial team wants to promote the most. This card would contain icons or imagery to add more color to the page, and a nice gradiant color using the home team's main color. Then it would of course also contain the match info and bet buttons.
Next we have some filters where the user can filter out which view they want to explore. Matches, Players, or Streaming are a few examples, each filter providing different views to the user. On the right is a bet type filter which allows the user to choose which kind of bet type is displayed.
Finally, we have the bet offerings, in this examples matches. Sorted by league popularity, we present the current live matches. Each card has a settings/view more button which provides different options when tapped such as favouriting, turning on notifications etc.
Another concept is for the landing page of the app. In this design I wanted the top of the page to contain quick access items to the most important and cool features. The default option would be 'For You' which would use data of the user behaviour to present relevant things for specific users. For example, if they bet a lot on football and watch streaming, then we would have a automatic streaming player in the top.
Underneath the streaming player is a section with links to the user's most visited sports. After that comes a select few Top Events which uses the user's history to display events that they likely would be interested to bet on.
Then comes a section using nice images to break the card view up a bit, which gives some variation to the design and some space to breath. This section could either be promoted leagues or again leagues/sports based on the user's previous activity.
